Paulo Dybala could start in place of Lionel Messi for Argentina as Messi is likely to start on the bench.

Dybala could be in the starting eleven for Argentina when they play Uruguay on Friday in a World Cup qualifying match. Lionel Messi is set to start the match on the bench and according to a report by AS, Dybala would start.

Argentina national team coach would not be able to count on Nicolas Gonzalez as he has tested positive for COVID-19 and with Messi out, AS are reporting that Dybala would make up the front three along with Angel Di Maria and Lautaro Martinez.

De Paul has become a focal point in the Argentina national team. Consistently one of the, if not the best players on the pitch, De Paul, like the rest of the team, continues to show the joy that was winning the Copa America. While players were travelling for the World Cup qualifiers, Nicolas Otamendi posted a picture of himself with a few team mates.

Otamendi posted a picture on his Instagram of himself with Alejandro Papu Gomez, Rodrigo De Paul and Gio Lo Celso. However, it was what Rodrigo De Paul was wearing which showed the unity of the team. De Paul’s shirt had a picture of the team celebrating having just lifted the Copa America trophy.

 

Lionel Messi, Leandro Paredes train, Argentina national team hold first training session

Lionel Messi and Leandro Paredes both trained as coach Lionel Scaloni held a first training session on Monday.

Messi and Paredes are both with the Argentina national team and trained separately from the rest of the team in their first training. With two World Cup qualifying matches against Uruguay and Brazil, Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni held a training on Monday which saw the two players do some lighter work than their team mates.

The idea for Messi is that he would play a few minutes in the first match against Uruguay. Messi, who is still recovering from the tackle he suffered against Venezuela, is expected to play the entire match against Brazil next Tuesday.

Leandro Paredes is also recovering but is not expected to play against Uruguay as Guido Rodriguez would start. However, he might also not be able to play in the second match against Brazil next week.

Lionel Messi, Angel Di Maria and Leandro Paredes has all joined the Argentina national team.

Messi along with Di Maria and Paredes are among the first to join the Argentina national team for the matches in November. The rumors are reports are that despite not being fully fit, Messi would play a bit against Uruguay but is expected to play the 90 minutes against Brazil.

Angel Di Maria is fit and Leandro Paredes is still recovering.

Alvarez has been the star of the league in Argentina, scoring 15 goals in 16 matches. Still only 21 years old, the Argentine has been in great form this season.

With the score at 1-0, a shot from outside of the penalty area was stopped by the goalkeeper but Alvarez got the rebound to score and double their lead. Alvarez would score his second of the match as he stole the ball from the goalkeeper and scored from a tight angle.

He would make it 4-0 as once more the goalkeeper would stop a shot and the ball would bounce in front of Alvarez as he would head it in for his hat trick. The most prolific striker in South America, the Argentine would make it 5-0 as the ball was played into the penalty area and Alvarez would strike it over the goalkeeper.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has included Julian Alvarez in the team for the matches this month.
