De Paul had a great game for Udinese. A shot from outside of the penalty area struck the crossbar in the first half. He would continue the second half with the same determination. After having his first two shots blocks, the Argentine would score on his third attempt to give Udinese the 1-0 lead.

Udinese would ultimately fail to maintain their lead as Sampdoria would score twice.

Now on four goals in 17 matches this season, de Paul has been linked with a move away from the club.

Fernando Gago named new Aldosivi manager

Fernando Gago has been named the new coach of Aldosivi.

Gago will begin working with the club as of Thursday and will have Federico Insua as one of his assistants. Both are former Boca Juniors players and played with the Argentina national team. Still only 34 years old, Gago announced his retirement late last year following an injury riddle career. Hewas announced as the new club coach on Saturday.

This is Gago’s first managerial post after having played most of his career in Europe.

Nicolas Gonzalez scored for Stuttgart in their 2-2 draw vs. Borussia Monchengladbach.

Gonzalez scored his sixth goal of the season for Stuttgart to help earn them a draw. It was Monchengladbach who were leading 1-0 and a cross sent into the penalty area found the Argentine who would head the ball to draw Stuttgart level.

Still only 22 years old, Gonzalez has found himself in the Argentina team, starting and scoring.

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino tests positive for COVID-19

PSG coach Mauricio Pochettino has tested positive for COVID-19.

Pochettino will enter isolation as the club announced on Friday that he has tested positive. His assistants Jesus Perez and Miguel D’Agostino will be at the helm for PSG’s match vs. Angers on Saturday.

Mauro Icardi scored for PSG in their 2-1 Trophée des Champions win vs. Marseille.

Icardi made it two goals in his last two matches for PSG as he, along with Angel Di Maria, Leandro Paredes and new coach Mauricio Pochettino lifted the trophy. One Argentine was going to lift the Trophée des Champions one way or another as Marseille also had Leonardo Balerdi and Dario Benedetto on the bench. It was the Argentine who opened the scoring as Icardi would give PSG the 1-0 lead with a finish from close range.

Maurio Pochettino won his first piece of silverware in his 12 year managerial career with the win. The former Espanyol, Southampton and Tottenham man was announced as new coach of PSG earlier this month. This is the fourth Trophée des Champions for Angel Di Maria, the second for Leandro Paredes and the first for Icardi himself.
