Argentina to not play at altitude against Ecuador in World Cup qualifier

Argentina will not be playing at altitude against Ecuador in the World Cup qualifier.

In previous years, when Argentina would travel to Ecuador to play them in the World Cup qualifiers, the match would be played at altitude in Quito. However, this will not be the case in March.

When Argentina visit Ecuador in March, the match will not be played in Quito but instead in Guayaquil. The match will be at the Estadio Monumental Isidro Romero Carbo, which is Barcelona’s stadium.

Lionel Scaloni’s team play two World Cup qualifiers in March, the first against Venezuela and the second against Ecuador. The first on March 24 in Argentina and the second on March 29 against Ecuador, which would be the last qualifying match of the month.

  1. This match is much more important to Ecuador than Argentina. Both teams are qualified, but Ecuador has to make sure they distance themselves from the fourth fifth place position. Ecuador will be coming out strong to win. They aren’t better than us, but we should be careful with injuries and suspensions.

  2. Glad to hear. I have been wondering this for long time. There is one thing called home field advantage but another thing to play in inhuman climatic conditions. That is impacting health and well being of a human, much beyond taking home field advantage.
