Erik Lamela scored and had two assists in Tottenham’s 5-0 win vs. Crvena Zvezda.

It was the Erik Lamela show in London as the Argentine lit up the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Champions League. Lamela provided two assists and scored the fourth goal of the game.

Tottenham were awarded a corner kick and it was Lamela who put in the cross which found Harry Kane for the first goal. A second assist by Lamela as he would beat his man and play a cross into the far post for Heung-Min Son to score.

Lamela score himself as he received the ball in the penalty area, would turn and score.

Mauro Icardi scored twice with Angel Di Maria providing an assist in PSG’s 5-0 win vs. Club Brugge.

Icardi reached three goals in 2 Champions League games this season for Inter. Di Maria gave the assist on the first goal as he played a low pass into the area which found Icardi who scored.

The Argentine would make it 3-0 as Mbappe played in a low pass to Icardi for his second of the game.

 

Sergio Aguero double for Manchester City vs. Atalanta

Sergio Aguero scored twice for Manchester City in their 5-1 win vs. Atalanta.

Aguero reached 10 goals in all competitions this season with his double in the Champions League. Atalanta took the lead but it was an assist by Raheem Sterling and a lovely poacher like finish by Aguero which drew Manchester City level.

The reigning Premier League winners took the lead, once more through a Sergio Aguero goal but this time from a spot kick.

Argentina to play Brazil and Uruguay in November friendly games in Saudi Arabia, Tel Aviv

Argentina will be playing two friendly games in November against Brazil and Uruguay.

After having previously been announced that Lionel Scaloni’s team would play Brazil and Paraguay in November, the idea has since been changed and instead of Paraguay, it will be Uruguay as the second opponent.

Lionel Messi will be back from his suspension following the comments he made at the 2019 Copa America and Scaloni has already stated that both Messi and Sergio Aguero would be in the team for the games in November.

The first match against Brazil will take place on November 15 in Riyad, Saudi Arabia with the second on November 19 in Tel Aviv.

Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero are nominated for the 2019 Ballon d’Or award.

Only two Argentine players are nominated and it’s the two veterans. Messi already holds the record, having won it five times and will look to make it six while Aguero has yet to win it.

The award will be presented on Monday, 2 December in Paris, France.
