Lionel MESSI incredible performance, HIGUAIN, SIMEONE, more goals

Lionel MESSI (who’s lost the blond hair) put in an incredible performance for Barcelona in their 4-1 demolition of Espanyol. MESSI had a goal and two assists (both of which were moved only Lionel can pull off) as he continues his fine form.

Still in Spain, Jorge SAMPAOLI’s Sevilla continue with the wins and this time they got two goals from Luciano VIETTO in their 4-1 win against Malaga.

In Italy, Gonzalo HIGUAIN scored arguably the goal of the weekend for Juventus as they picked up a 1-0 win against AS Roma.

Giovanni SIMEONE scored twice for Genoa in their 4-3 loss against Palermo.

Argentina U20 World Cup winner in 2007 Mauro ZARATE scored for Fiorentina as they lost 3-1 away to Lazio.

In England, Premier League winner Leonardo ULLOA scored for Leicester City as they drew 2-2 against Stoke City.

Not a goal but a debut for former Boca Juniors player Leonardo SUAREZ who played his first match for Villarreal against Sporting Gijon.

Argentina to play friendly match against Brazil in Australia

Argentina will play a friendly match against Brazil in Australia next year.

According to the media in Australia, the match will take place in June of 2017. For the first time ever, the clasico will take place in that part of the world and would be at at the MGC (Melbourne Cricket Ground) which has a capacity of over 100,000 fans. Also, it appears as though one of the two teams will remain in Australia to play a match against the Australians.

The last time Argentina played a match in Australia was against Australia in September of 2007, a match which ended 1-0 for Argentina following a goal by Martin DEMICHELIS.

Argentina’s Emmanuel MAS could head to Trabzonspor

San Lorenzo and Argentina international Emmanuel MAS is close to joining Turkish club Trabzonspor, according to reports.

A negotiation has been taking place (according to Ole) between a San Lorenzo representative who has been in Turkey for the past few days. According to the report, while nothing has been finalized, San Lorenzo’s match against Lanus on Sunday could be MAS’ last for the club.

River Plate lift the Copa Argentina 4-3 win

River Plate lifted the Copa Argentina after a thrilling 4-3 win against Rosario Central.

The final in Cordoba saw a total of 7 goals being scored, three of which by Lucas ALARIO for the winning team. ALARIO scored in the 10th, 39th and 71st minute while Uruguayan Ivan ALONSO scored the match winner in the 74th minute. The win qualifies River Plate to the 2017 Copa Libertadores.

Meanwhile for Rosario, Marco RUBEN went from hero to villain as he scored twice before being sent off in the 83rd minute. The other goal came from Damian MUSTO.

Silvio ROMERO scores twice for Club America in Club World Cup

There are a total of five Argentine representatives in this year’s Club World Cup tournament and one of them has already scored twice.

Silvio ROMERO of Club America (managed by 1978 World Cup winner Ricardo LAVOLPE) scored twice for his club in their come from behind 2-1 win against South Korea’s Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Club America will play Real Madrid on the 15th of December in the semi-finals while Atletico Nacional play Kashima Antlers on the 14th of December.
