Lionel Messi scored two goals for PSG and one of his goals has been named as the Champions League Goal of the Week.

Messi had two goals and two assists for PSG in their win vs. Maccabi Haifa. His first one was an outside of the foot goal from inside the penalty area and that one has won the award.

The Argentine has four goals and three assists in four Champions League games for PSG.

Rodrigo De Paul scored for Atletico Madrid in their 2-2 draw vs. Bayer Leverkusen.

De Paul would score for Atletico Madrid but Diego Simeone’s team would still get eliminated from the Champions League. In a game that Atletico had to win, they drew.

With Bayer Leverkusen leading 2-1, De Paul would get the bell from outside of the penalty area and his effort would go into the bottom corner of the goal to draw Atletico level.

Atletico were awarded a penalty kick at the end of the game but Carrasco was unable to score. Nahuel Molin and Ángel Correa start the game with De Paul coming on as a substitute.

Gio Simeone scored twice for Napoli in their 3-0 win vs. Rangers.

Simeone has scored four goals in the Champions League this season for Napoli. The 27 year old started for Napoli and scored to give them the 1-0 lead.

A ball into the penalty area found Simeone and a right footed strike would get the better of the goalkeeper as Simeone would score.

The Argentine would make it 2-0 just minutes after the goal. A cross into the penalty area and Simeone with a header would score to give Napoli the 2-0 lead.

Lionel Messi scored two goals and had two assists for PSG in their 6-2 win vs. Maccabi Haifa.

Messi made it 11 goals and 12 assists for PSG against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League. With the score at 0-0, the ball fell to Messi inside the penalty area as he shot the ball with the outside of his foot to give PSG the 1-0 lead.

He would also get an assist as PSG were leading 2-0 and he played a pass into Neymar who would score.

The Argentine would score his second of the game. He would get the ball on the edge of the penalty area, dribble around a Maccabi Haifa player and score.

At 6-2 for PSG, Messi would dribble around the defender and pull a cut back to Carlos Soler who would score. He would also hit the crossbar.

With his 11 goals and 12 assists, he is the only player in Europe’s top five leagues with 10+ goals and 10+ assists.

Gonzalo Montiel scored for Sevilla in their 3-0 win vs. Copenhagen.

Montiel scored his first goal in the Champions League and it was one that was created in Argentina. Erik Lamela would take a shot from outside of the penalty area which was saved by the goalkeeper and Montiel would score the rebound.

The Argentine has now started Sevilla’s last five games. He is also part of the preliminary Argentina team for the World Cup.

Alejandro Papu Gómez had an assist on the first goal while Marcos Acuña had an assist on the second goal.
