Olympique Lyon are interested in signing Nicolás Tagliafico of Ajax.

Nicolás Tagliafico has been linked with a move away from Ajax since the start of the last season. While there were reports that FC Barcelona were interested in signing him in January, that move never happened.

With no move to FC Barcelona happening, Lyon are the latest club being linked to the Argentine. Per Hugo Guillemet, Lyon have Tagliafico as a priority left back in their three man shortlist.

He would cost around €5 million but per the tweet, it would be difficult to convince him to join the club as they are not in the Champions League.

Lisandro Martínez will be asking Ajax to leave with both Manchester United and Arsenal having submitted bids.

Martínez could be on his way out of Ajax. Per Fabrizio Romano, the 24 year old will ask Ajax to leave as he would want a move to the Premier League.

Manchester United have made an official offer with theirs being better than Arsenal’s last one but Arsenal are still in the running. United are trying to push for personal terms.

Ajax had turned down a bid of €30 million from Arsenal in June. But they continue to want to sign Martínez.

The Argentine joined Ajax in 2019 where he has become a starter and was named as the Ajax Player of the Year for the club this year.

Alexandro Bernabei joins Celtic from Lanús on a five year contract

Alexandro Bernabei has joined Celtic from Lanús.

Bernabei has signed a five year deal with the champions of Scotland. As we reported last week, the 21 year old left back was linked with Celtic and the signing was announced on Thursday.

The Argentine has played for the Argentina U23 team and will wear the 25 shirt. Speaking to Celtic TV, here is what he said:

“I’m very happy to be here and I feel grateful to the club for giving me this opportunity.

“I feel proud to be playing in Europe because it was one of my dreams and I’m excited to train with and play with my new team-mates. The stadium is just incredible. The people, the club, team-mates, and the coaching staff are all incredible.

“I’m very excited and happy and I can’t wait to be playing in the Champions League. I’ve heard that the people are crazy, so I can’t wait to sense that feeling and emotion in Celtic Park.

“I spoke to the manager and he said he believed in me and my quality and that I can adapt to the team quickly.

“This is my first time in Scotland and Glasgow and I’ve seen the city on the internet and it looks very beautiful, so I’m excited to be able to get to know it more. The objective is to become champion and we want to achieve big things as a club and I would like to achieve all of our objectives this year.”

Udinese is interested in Enzo Copetti of Racing Club, per reports from Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. The Serie A club would make a formal offer within the next few days.

The 26-year-old Argentine forward has a release clause of $10 million but Racing Club would agree to sell the player for a smaller amount. Also, Copetti has an Italian passport, which might make the deal easier.

The former Atlético Rafaela man has been one of Racing Club’s best players under the command of coach Fernando Gago, scoring 12 goals in 26 appearances so far in 2022.

Argentina will wear a new shirt for the World Cup. Undefeated with the camouflage home shirt, Adidas has issued a new shirt for the Copa America and Finalissima champions.

With the traditional vertical sky blue and white, Adidas will have their new logo on the shirt. Per Footy Headlines, the shirt will have a new ventilation knit pattern.
