Rumored preliminary Argentina list for Copa America, Sergio Aguero, Mauro Icardi

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni along with the AFA will have to submit a preliminary list of 50 players to CONMEBOL for the Copa America.

The tournament, which starts on June 13, will have co-hosts Argentina play Chile in the first match. However, before getting to that match and the final list of 23, a preliminary list of 50 will have to be submitted. Per a report by TyC Sports, the list of 50 would include six goalkeepers, 17 defenders, 16 midfielders and 11 forwards. Of those 50, only 23 would make the final squad.

Argentina preliminary list for Copa America expected today

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni is expected to announce his preliminary list of 50 players for the Copa America in a few hours.

With the tournament beginning in June, reports are emerging out of South America that Scaloni will announce his initial list of 50 today. That list will eventually drop to a final 23 when the tournament begins in June.

Correa helped propel Lazio to the three points as they edge closer to a European spot. It was fifth in the place Milan away to sixth place Lazio and it was the home team who managed their 10th consecutive home win.

While Milan came close to taking an early lead, it was Correa who managed the first goal of the match. A lovely ball into the 26 year old as Correa dribble around Donnarumma and opened the scoring just two minutes into the match.

The Argentine would score his second and double Lazio’s lead early in the second half. Another ball found Correa as he evaded the challenge and his shot beat the goalkeeper.

With those two goals, Correa is now on 6 for the league season as that was his first double of the season.

Lucas Ocampos scored for Sevilla in their 2-1 win vs. Granada.

A goal made in Argentina, it was Alejandro Papu Gomez combining with Ocampos for Sevilla’s second of the match. The fight for the league title race is truly coming down to the wire. A win would see Sevilla remain in fourth place but only three points away from first place Atletico Madrid.

With Sevilla leading 1-0, Alejandro Papu Gomez played a ball into the penalty area which found Ocampos who scored to double Sevilla’s lead. It was goal number five of the league season for Ocampos and his first since January.

Lisandro Magallan scored for Crotone in their 4-3 win vs. Parma.

Magallan managed his first goal of the season for Crotone and it was an important one. With Crotone last in the standings and all but officially relegated, they were up against 19th place Parma.

Crotone were awarded a corner kick and it was the Argentine who leaped up and scored the header to give his team the 1-0 lead.

Still only 27 years of age, the center back joined Crotone on loan from Ajax at the start of the season. He has yet to represent Argentina at the senior level.
