Lautaro Martinez commented on Argentina’s 1-0 win vs. Peru in the World Cup qualifiers.

Martinez scored the goal for Argentina which gave them the win and the three points. The team remains undefeated in their last 25 matches and end the month of October with seven points out of ten as they are well on their way to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Argentina’s goal scorer in the 1-0 win spoke to the media after the match. Here is what he had to say:

“The play against Uruguay was more fluid, there was more space. It got complicated for us a little but we always tried to have a solution and today, we knew how to find that.

“Everytime we go out on the pitch, we try to give our all because this shirt deserves respect and responsibility. All of this is exciting, my family saw me play again after a long time. Today, they’re here again. I hope that the people have enjoyed the win.”

Lautaro Martinez scored for Argentina in their 1-0 win vs. Peru and are undefeated in their last 25 matches.

Martinez made it two goals in two matches in October for Argentina as his late first half goal gave Argentina the three points. Lionel Scaloni’s team created several chances in the first half but were unable to score. It was another man of the match performance by Rodrigo De Paul as he played a pass in to Nahuel Molina and his cross found Lautaro who scored with a great header to give Argentina the 1-0 lead.

Argentina saw much of the ball in the second half but Peru threatened and a foul by Emiliano Martinez inside the penalty area gave Peru a penalty. Yoshimar Yotun took the penalty for Peru as his effort hit the crossbar and out while Emiliano Martinez had jumped the right way.

Lionel Scaloni made two changes with Nicolas Gonzalez replacing Angel Di Maria and Guido Rodriguez in for Leandro Paredes. Gonzalez had an opportunity as he ran towards the Peruvian back line but his effort went out for a corner kick.

Guido Rodriguez scored a header in the second half but it was ruled out for a foul. Scaloni made two more changes as Joaquin Correa was brough in for Lautaro Martinez and Exequiel Palacios for Gio Lo Celso.

The Argentina starting eleven is out with Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez and Angel Di Maria starting up front.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has his starting eleven and with the only doubt being between Nahuel Molina and Gonzalo Montiel, it’s Molina who gets the start. Marcos Acuña starts in place of Nicolas Tagliafico with Angel Di Maria back in the eleven with Nicolas Gonzalez on the bench. Here is the starting eleven:

Argentina players on yellow cards, could miss matches against Uruguay, Brazil in qualifiers

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni currently has 10 players on yellow cards.

With two more World Cup qualifying matches in November, there are several Argentine players that are one yellow card away from suspension. Argentina play Uruguay away and Brazil at home in November’s World Cup qualifiers and with a match against Peru remaining, there are 10 players that can’t afford to receive a yellow card.

Of those 10 players, about half of them have been regular starters for Argentina. Rumored to start against Peru, Nicolás Otamendi, Gonzalo Montiel, Giovani Lo Celso, Rodrigo De Paul and Lautaro Martínez are on yellow cards. Here are the players that are one yellow card away from missing Argentina’s match against Uruguay in November:

Argentina rumored XI vs. Peru, one doubt remaining

Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni has most of his starting eleven in mind with one doubt remaining.

Lionel Scaloni is expected to start a simiar eleven which started the 3-0 win vs. Uruguay on Sunday. Marcos Acuña, who was rested against Uruguay, is set to start in place of Nicolas Tagliafico. In addition, Angel Di Maria, who came on as a substitute in that match, would start in place of Nicolas Gonzalez.

According to TyC Sports, the only doubt remaining is between Nahuel Molina and Gonzalo Montiel. Molina started both match agaonst Paraguay and Uruguay as Montiel could be be in the eleven with Molina resting. Here is the rumored eleven:
