Three Argentina doubts for starting eleven, Joaquin Correa trains separately

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has three doubts in regards to his starting eleven while Joaquin Correa trained separately from the group.

Lionel Scaloni reportedly has most of his eleven already decided with two doubts. Marcos Acuña is back and trained with the group after having started against Paraguay but rested in place of Nicolas Tagliafico against Uruguay. Scaloni has not yet decided on which one of Acuña and Tagliafico will start against Peru on Thursday.

Scaloni will also have to decide between Nahuel Molina and Gonzalo Montiel. It was Molina who started both of Argentina’s World Cup matches against Paraguay and Uruguay but could be rested against Peru in the last qualifier of October.

The third doubt is that up front between Angel Di Maria and Nicolas Gonzalez. Di Maria started the match against Paraguay while Nicolas Gonzalez replaced him against Uruguay in the 3-0 win.

Joaquin Correa, who started the match against Paraguay and was substituted on against Uruguay, finished the last match not fully fit. He did not train with the group on Tuesday in training. According to Ole, this is the rumored eleven:

Emiliano Martinez; Montiel or Molina, Romero, Otamendi, Acuña or Tagliafico; De Paul, Paredes, Lo Celso; Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Di Maria or Nicolas Gonzalez

Players to reportedly be released for 2022 World Cup one week before it begins

Players will reportedly be released by their clubs for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar only one week before it begins.

National team coaches normally get their players 30 days prior to the start of a World Cup. The players take part in training and even play friendly matches. However, for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, that may not be the case.

According to a report by l’Equipe, the players will be released one week before the first match. The World Cup begins on November 21 and the players would be released on November 14, one week prior.

Argentina rumored XI vs. Peru, Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez to start

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni had his team training on Monday as rumors of a starting eleven beginning to come out.

Lionel Scaloni will try to go 25 matches undefeated after his team’s 3-0 win vs. Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers. Everyone trained on Monday except for Joaquin Correa. As we reported on Monday, Correa finished the last match not in the best of conditions and he trained separately from the rest of the group.

Scaloni will keep an eleven similar to that which started the last two matches. Marcos Acuña, who missed the last match, was back in training. According to TyC Sports, Gonzalo Montiel could start in place of Nahuel Molina as Molina has started the last two matches.

There are rumors that Guido Rodriguez and Alejandro Papu Gomez have chances to start the match in place of Leandro Paredes and Gio Lo Celso. Both Paredes and Lo Celso have started both of Argentina’s World Cup qualifying matches in October.

In addition, Angel Di Maria could be back in the eleven. Nicolas Gonzalez started the match against Uruguay while Di Maria came on as a substitute. This is the rumored eleven:

Former Argentina, Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero signs with Venezia

Sergio Romero has signed with Venezia.

Romero has signed with Serie A club Venezia as a free agent with the club announcing his signing. The 34 year old did not renew his contract with Manchester United after being with the club for six years. At the club, he wouls win the Europa League where he was United’s starting goalkeeper.

He is also the most capped goalkeeper in the history of the Argentina national team, playing 96 times. He played in two World Cup’s, reaching the final in 2014 while also playing in three Copa America’s, reaching the final in two of them.

Joaquin Correa possibly not fit, Argentina national team training

Joaquin Correa might not be fully fit as the Argentina national team trained following their 3-0 win vs. Uruguay.

Correa, who came on as a substitute against Uruguay left the pitch not fully fit. Lionel Scaloni stated following the match that he saw Correa possibly having some issues when the match was over. Correa would have been evaluated during Monday’s training.

Lionel Scaloni had his team back in training as they are already working towards the next match. The players who took part in the match against Uruguay did exercises in the gym while those who did not play, took part in training on the pitch.

Argentina play Peru on Thursday in their third of three World Cup qualifying matches for October.
