Paulo Dybala to extend Juventus contract

After rumors of Juventus wanting to sell him last season, Paulo Dybala is reportedly close to signing a contract extension.

Per a report by Corriere dello Sport, Dybala is looking to becoming the second best paid player at the club behind Cristiano Ronaldo and ahead of Dutch defender Matthjis De Ligt. The new contract would keep Dybala until the 2014-2025 season.

Still only 26 years old, the Argentina man is entering the prime of his career and is currently under contract under June of next year. He has scored 10 goals and provided 10 assists in 27 Serie A games this season.

Argentina U23 Carlos Valenzuela being linked with Portuguese club Famalicao

Previously from Racing Club, Valenzuela is currently at Barracas Central and per reports, he could be joining Portuguese club Famalicao.

Part of the Argentina U23 team which won gold at the Pan American games last year, Valenzuela could join fellow Argentina team mate Nehuen Perez at the club. Per a report by TNT Sports, there’s only missing the small details and the forward would be off to Portugal.

Gio Simeone scores in 4 straight, reaches 10 goals for Cagliari in 1-1 draw

Giovanni Simeone has now reached 10 goals this season as he scored for Cagliari in their 1-1 draw vs. Bologna.

Simeone has been on fire since the return of Serie A. The Argentina man has now scored in four consecutive matches. With Bologna leading 1-0 having scored right before half time, Simeone would score in the first minute of the second half.

A short pass played into the area found Simeone as he scored from close range.

Argentina U20 Facundo Medina joining Ligue 1 club Lens

Argentina U20 defender Facundo Medina will reportedly join Ligue 1 club Lens.

Still only 21 years of age, Medina is currently signed with Talleres having joined them from River Plate. Per Germán García Grova, the defender will join for €6 million with Talleres getting €3.9 million of it and River Plate getting €2.1 million.

Medina, capable of playing as center back and left back, has represented Argentina in both the U20 and U23 teams where he represented Argentina at the 2019 U20 World Cup and at the 2019 Pan American games. He ended up winning gold with the team in the final of the Pan American.

Gabriel Heinze reportedly a candidate to coach Espanyol in Spain

The former Manchester United and Real Madrid man is currently without a coaching job after having stepped down from the Velez position and has now emerged as one of the candidates to coach Espanyol in Spain.

Gabriel Heinze has coached three different clubs in a span of five years in Argentina. However, a new, possibly more difficult project could be in the plans for the former Argentina man. Per a report by Mundo Deportivo, Heinze has emerged as one of the candidates to possibly coach the club who will very likely be playing in Spain’s second division next season.

Espanyol is all but relegated and for Heinze, it would see him coaching three Argentine players currently at the club. Matias Vargas, Facundo Ferreyra (currently on loan from Benfica) and Jonathan Calleri (on loan from Deportivo Maldonado) have all featured this season for the club.
