Matias KRANEVITTER close to Sevilla deal

7

Matias KRANEVITTER could be heading to Sevilla within the next few hours.

According to reports, KRANEVITTER would be heading to Sevilla on a season long loan deal but Sevilla would NOT get the first option to buy the players, should Atletico want to sell.

It appears as if everything is agreed upon and they are just waiting on Atletico to sign the documents.

Paulo DYBALA’s agent confirms Barcelona offer

Let the transfer rumors begin!

According to Gazzamercato, Gustavo MASCARDI (the founder of the group which represents Paulo DYBALA), has stated that they had received an offer from Barcelona a few months ago. Apparently, the offer was for around 80 million euros. Here’s what he had to say:

“When I talk with Paulo and his agent, Pierpaolo TRIULZI, I know that the player is on the right track. A year ago both Inter and Milan wanted him but he was right to choose the club which would give him more security. And his career at Juventus has just begun.”

“The are many temptations in the transfer market but Paulo has shown that he has clear ideas. It is true that in recent months Barcelona were interested – I think they made a bid of double what the Bianconeri paid.” (Juventus paid about 40 million for DYBALA).

“The player’s first consideration was that it was more important to consolidate his experience at a club which is giving him the opportunity to succeed at the highest level.”

30 years ago today…

Thirty years ago on this day, Argentina lifted their second (and sadly so far last) World Cup as they defeated West Germany 3-2 in the final.

After taking a 2-0 lead through goals by José Luis BROWN and Jorge VALDANO, West Germany went level with two goals by RUMMENIGGE and VOLLER. But only 3 minutes after Germany drew level, Jorge BURRUCHAGA scored the goal of his life, the goal which would hand Argentina in their second World Cup title.

It’s already been 30 years and while we’ve come close once since 1986, Argentina has always had the talent to go on and win the tournament. Be it luck, pressure or anything else, we haven’t been able to lift football’s most prestigious trophy. But that doesn’t mean we should ever stop believing.

More coming to Mundo Albiceleste

Just because the Copa America is over with doesn’t mean the changes here on Mundo will stop coming.

I’m currently working on an Olympics section which will hopefully be up in the coming days. It will include player profiles, group stage and tournament brackets, statistics, and information on the 2004 and 2008 Gold medal winning teams.

We launched the new design while the Copa America was underway, thus missing some key things we wanted to do with that section. However, that will not be the case with the Olympics.

Furthermore, there would also be a section for the Champions League and possibly the Europa League. Those sections would focus on the Argentinian players (how many goals they scored during this season, the team’s they are involved in and more). But that would be launched once the Champions League gets under way.

We’re also working on making some further changes to the look of the website. Most notably the background picture, a logo and possibly some more colors to brighten things up a little bit.

As mentioned in the past, this is not a finished product and is something we are continually working on. We hope you enjoy these improvements and new sections.

A new feature which has been implemented on the site (has been for a few weeks now) is in the comments section. When clicking on a news post, all comments in blue mean that those are “new” comments which have since been submitted since you last visited that article.

If there is anything in particular you would like to see brought in on Mundo, do let us know.

Thank you,

Roy
