Luka Romero scored for Lazio in their 1-0 win vs. Monza.

Romero scored his first ever goal for Lazio as the 17 year old was brought on as a substitute. A shot on goal for Lazio was saved by the goalkeeper but Romero got the rebound for his first goal.

The Argentine has represented Argentina at youth level, having played for Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team. He joined Lazio from Mallorca last season and has been a substitute for Lazio.

Alejandro Garnacho assisted twice for Manchester United in their 4-2 win vs. Aston Villa.

Garnacho came on as a substitute and assisted two goals for Manchester United. The 18 year old played a pass into Bruno Fernandes as he scored to give United the 3-2 lead.

The Argentine got his second assist with a cross into the penalty area which found Scott McTominay who scored. Garnacho has already scored for Manchester United, with his goal coming in the Europa League.

Juan Musso, Facundo Medina and Thiago Almada are set to be the Argentina reserves for the 2022 World Cup.

Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni has picked one goalkeeper, one defender and one attack minded player to be reserves for the team. According to Gastón Edul, should anything happen to the players, they will be the back-ups.

Musso of Atalanta would be the back-up to the goalkeepers. He was part of the 2021 team which won the Copa America.

Facundo Medina of RC Lens would be the reserves for the defenders. He last played for the Argentina national team in October of last year.

Thiago Almada of Atlanta United is also one of the reserves. He played for Argentina in the 3-0 win vs. Honduras in September.

As we reported, Paulo Dybala and Juan Foyth are set to be at the World Cup with Ángel Correa and Facundo Medina being the reserves.

Dybala and Foyth might both be at the World Cup as coach Lionel Scaloni has opted for nine defenders. According to Gastón Edul, Argentina coach Lionel Scaloni will likely pick those two players.

Should Paulo Dybala be fully recovered and play for AS Roma vs. Torino, the Argentine will be picked to go to the World Cup. If not, Ángel Correa will be in his place.

Juan Foyth played for Villarreal as he was brought on as a substitute. Should Foyth not be fit to play, Facundo Medina will be at the World Cup.

Lionel Messi was back training with the PSG team on Thursday.

Messi missed PSG’s last league game vs. Lorient due to an inflammation. He didn’t want to take any risks and was rested for that game.

PSG play on Sunday vs. Auxerre and Lionel Messi will be flying out to Abu Dhabi after the game to join the Argentina national team.
