Thiago Almada scored for Atlanta United in their 4-2 win vs. Toronto FC.

Almada reached five league goals for the season for Atlanta United as he scored off a great dribble and strike. The Argentine received the ball towards the edge of the penalty area as he cut inside, dribbling around defenders and scoring.

The 21 year old has been named in the preliminary Argentina national team by coach Lionel Scaloni for the September games. Argentina play Honduras on September 23 in Miami and play on September 27 in New Jersey against Jamaica. Here is the list:

Román Vega, Lucas Besozzi score as Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team win 2-0 vs. Uruguay

Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team won 2-0 vs. Uruguay with goals from Román Vega and Lucas Besozzi.

Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team made it two wins and one draw out of three games in Uruguay as they won the Copa Intendencia de Maldonado. Following a 1-1 draw vs. Brazil, the Argentina U20 team won 2-0 vs. Uzbekistan.

Román Vega scored just two minutes into the game off a header to give Argentina the 1-0 lead. Vega recently joined Barça Atletic.

Lucas Besozzi scored the second goal of the game for Argentina. A great team goal as Besozzi was the first to get to a rebound to make it 2-0 for Mascherano’s team.

Mateo Sanabria was red carded for Argentina. This was the starting XI for the match:

Following the match, Argentina U20 coach Mascherano had this to say:

“It’s been very good for us to be able to come and compete here against great teams. We took the opportunity to see guys that we couldn’t see before.

“We knew Uruguay, a difficult opponent. It’s important to continue to compete, to have this contact and analyze the rivals that we will also face in the Sudamericano.”

The South American youth cup, known as the Sudamericano, will take place at the start of next year. Mascherano has now won two out of the three tournaments he has coached for Argentina.

In May and June, Mascherano’s Argentina finished fifth in the Toulon tournament in France. In August, he won the COTIF tournament in Spain.

Messi has adapted well to the league in his second season. He finished last season with 15 assists and he already has seven this season.

The Argentine has three goals and seven assists for PSG this season, as he added one more on Saturday. In a 1-0 win vs. Brest, Messi delivered a cross from deep into the penalty area which found Neymar as he scored.

Ángel Correa and Rodrigo De Paul scored with De Paul getting an assist and Nahuel Molina involved in the play for Atletico Madrid.

Correa scored his first goal of the season for Atletico Madrid. The 27 year old scored after an initial pass in from Nahuel Molina to Rodrigo De Paul. He would pass it to Correa who would score from close range.

Rodrigo De Paul, who got the assist for the first goal, would also score. His goal would also be his first of the season.

De Paul had a shot from the edge of the penalty area which was deflected and score.

Erik Lamela scored and was red carded for Sevilla in their 3-2 win vs. Espanyol.

Lamela had a great start to the match. The Argentine scored after a great run only 45 seconds into the game.

The 30 year old has taken part in every game for Sevilla this season and scored his first goal of the new season. He did however get red carded.

With Sevilla leading 3-2, Lamela went in leg first and the referee gave him a red card.

Marcos Acuña also started for Sevilla in their win. Gonzalo Montiel was an unused substitute.
