Nicolás Paz scored twice for Real Madrid Juvenile A in their 6-0 win vs. Celtic in the UEFA Youth League.
Paz had two goals as he continues to progress with Real Madrid’s youth team. The return of the Champions League also saw the UEFA Youth League have matches on Tuesday.
With Real Madrid winning 3-0, a shot inside the penalty area was stopped by the goalkeeper and the rebound fell to Paz who scored from close range. The Argentine would make it 5-0 with a run inside the penalty area, a pass in to him and he would score.
Still only 17 years old, Paz has been part of Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team.
Ulises Ciccioli scored for the Argentina U20 team in their 1-1 draw vs. Brazil.
Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team started off their first of three matches this week with a 1-1 draw. Argentina took a 1-0 lead through Rosario Central’s Ciccioli following a great play by Juan Gauto.
Mascherano’s team also had a man advtantage after Brazil’s Alexander Gomes Da Costa got red carded with only 15 minutes left in the game. Ciccioli spoke to the media after the match. Here is what he had to say:
“We started off on the right foot. It got complicated with the red card but after that we were superior. It was an incredible game. I still can’t believe that I scored a goal against Brazil.
“We are adapting very quickly to what Mascherano is asking us.”

Javier Mascherano’s Argentina U20 team will play three matches this week. The first match against Brazil on Tuesday, the second on September 8 against Uzbekistan and the last game on September 10 vs. Uruguay. Here are the eleven for the match vs. Brazil on Tuesday:

The Champions League group stage kicks off on Tuesday and there are 13 players, one of which is injured, which could start the matches.
European football’s biggest club competition starts on Tuesday and for some Argentine players, it could be a debut in the competition. A total of 25 Argentine players are in the competition this season as matches start on Tuesday.
Lionel Messi is now flying solo at PSG as the only Argentine representative in the Champions League. He will be up against Ángel Di María, who is injured, Leandro Paredes and Matías Soulé of Juventus. For Paredes, it’s a game against his former club.
In the same group, Nicolás Otamendi and Enzo Fernández are against Maccabi Haifa. Otamendi and Enzo’s Benfica are heavy favorites to win the game.
It could be a Champions League debut for Julián Álvarez as Manchester City are away to Sevilla on Tuesday. For Sevilla, they have four Argentine players in Marcos Acuña, Gonzalo Montiel, Erik Lamela and Papu Gómez.
Nicolás Capaldo and RB Salzburg host Milan in their group. Capaldo is the only Argentine of the four teams in Group E this season.
Alexandro Bernabei and Celtic host the reigning European champions Real Madrid. Bernabei joined Celtic during the transfer window from Lanús and this would be a Champions League debut for him.

Lautaro Martínez and Paulo Dybala have both been nominated for the Serie A August Player of the Month award.
The two Argentine players are both up for the Player of the Month award along with Teun Koopmeiners, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Dusan Vlahovic. The favorite to win the award appears to be Vlahovic, the Juventus striker.
Martínez has three goals and one assist in five Serie A games. His only assist came against Lecce while he had three goals in the next three games.
Paulo Dybala has two goals and one assist in his first five games for AS Roma. While playing well, he had his first assist against his former club Juventus and his two goals against Monza.
Both Dybala and Lautaro Martinez have been included in the preliminary Argentina list by coach Lionel Scaloni for the September games.
