Richarlison of Brazil and Everton spoke about the Argentina national team and Lionel Messi.

The Brazilian was part of the team which lost the Copa America against Argentina at home. After the loss, he, along with a few Argentine players would post jokes and comments on social media as he would go on to win gold with Brazil at the Olympics. He spoke to ESPN about Lionel Messi and Argentina winning the Copa America. Here is what he had to say:

“Leo is the best in the world. He is from another planet and I would like to play next to
him. He deserved it and it was clear when they all hugged him as soon as the match ended.

“I cried a lot, it hurt and I didn’t want to leave my room.”

In regards to the jokes between he and the Argentina players:

“The jokes stay on the pitch. It’s part of football folklore. They defend their Argentina shirt and we defend the Brazilian shirt. I’m friends with Roberto Pereyra.”

He was also asked about Argentina at the World Cup:

“We have never been eliminated in the first round and we have five wins. They gained confidence and are much stronger after the Copa America. Also, they are undefeated in many matches. I think they will get to the World Cup very good.”

Regarding Argentine players:

“I have always liked Aguero. I saw him as a kid and I got to play against him. He scored an incredible goal to win the Premier League.”

Paulo Dybala scored for Juventus in their 2-1 win vs. Sassuolo.

Dybala scored just three minutes into the match to give Juventus the 1-0 lead. The ball fell to the Argentine inside the penalty area as his volley beat the goalkeeper for the first goal of the match.

The 28 year old leads Juventus in goals with eight of them in the league in 19 matches. He also has three goals in four matches in the Champions League.

Argentina climbs up one spot in FIFA rankings, close to World Cup seed

Argentina moved up on spot and are now in fourth place in the FIFA rankings.

Lionel Scaloni’s team remain undefeated and a win in January followed by a win in February has them in fourth place. The team won 2-1 vs. Chile and 1-0 vs. Colombia as they move one spot ahead of England and are now in fourth.

A spot in the top seven would mean that Argentina would not be drawn in the same groups as hosts Qatar and the other top six teams ranked teams for the World Cup.

Leandro Paredse has suffered an injury and could miss PSG’s Champions League match vs. Real Madrid.

Paredes suffered an adductor injury for PSG and is expected to miss PSG’s their league match on the weekend. According to l’Equipe, Paredes has an adductor injury and is a doubt. He took part in PSG’s 5-1 win vs. Lille on Sunday.

Antonio Conte has stated that Tottenham Hotspur have bought Cristian Romero as he praised the player.

Conte was full of praise for Cristian Romero as the club get ready to play Southampton on Wednesday. Romero joined Tottenham on loan from Atalanta during the summer after being named as the best defender of Serie A last season.

Cristian Romero was part of the Argentina national team which won the Copa America last summer and started the final. Tottenham boss Antonio Conte spoke to the media on Tuesday about Romero. Here is what he had to say:

“We have an obligation to buy… we bought him. Romero is perfect for the Premier League.”

The coach went on to say:

“He’s strong physically, he has the timing to anticipate and good personality to play with the ball. Despite being a young player, he has good experience, he’s strong. I like him. For sure, he has a lot of space for improvement.”
