Lucas Ocampos scored for Sevilla in their 3-0 win vs. Getafe.
Ocampos reached 8 goals in the league this season for Sevilla as he opened the scoring in the match. A defensive mistake by Getafe lead to a low cross being sent into the penalty area and Ocampos scoring from close range.
Angel Correa scored for Atletico Madrid in their 3-1 win vs. Villarreal.
Correa reached 12 goals this season with his strike which drew Atletico level after Villarreal had initially taken the lead. A ball was sent into the area and it was Correa who reached it first and was able to put the ball past the goalkeeper.
The Argentina man also had an assist after he sent in a cross which found Koke who scored the second goal.
Speaking with Marca after the match, Correa had this to say:
“This was an important win for us, particularly after the results of our rivals this weekend. The win over Liverpool gave us confidence, and that will push us on until the end of the season. Liverpool are the best team in the world, and to beating them gave us immense joy.”

Lionel Messi scored four goals for Barcelona in their 5-0 win vs. Eibar.
Messi did it again, he has managed to score four goals in a Barcelona match. He went four games without finding the back of the net and made up for it all in one game.
The Argentina and FC Barcelona captain also reached a new milestone. With his four goals, he has now either scored or assisted in over 1000 goals for both Argentina and Barcelona.
Barcelona’s first goal came after Messi received the ball, did a nutmeg as he played the ball through the legs of the defender and chipped it over the goalkeeper. The second one saw Messi running straight towards the Eiber defenders and his shot would beat the goalkeeper.
Goal three would also come in the first half. The ball would fall to Messi in the penalty area and practically an open net for him to aim at. The fourth goal was similar to the third but with Messi dribbling past the defender and goalkeeper.
Ignacio Aliseda of Defensa y Justicia has signed with MLS team Chicago Fire.
Still only 19 years old, the Argentine winger has made the jump over to the MLS. He will join the club as a Young Designated Player where he is the youngest designated player in the club’s history. Speaking with the Chicago Fire website, here’s what coach Raphael Wicky had to say:
“Ignacio is already such an impressive player despite being only 19-years-old. He is very quick and technically gifted and has a great mentality. We’re very excited to add Ignacio to our roster and we expect him to be a key contributor for us moving forward.”
It was announced that CONMEBOL would be using VAR for all of the 2022 World Cup qualifying matches.
For the first time in South American qualifying, VAR will be used. It was used for the last Copa America in Brazil and will be used for every match. The qualifiers start on Thursday, March 26 with the same format as previous qualifiers.
