Juan Foyth scored for Villarreal in their 4-3 loss. vs. FC Barcelona.

Foyth got his first goal of the season for Villarreal in a match which had seven goals. FC Barcelona took an early two goal lead but it was the Argentine who would get Villarreal’s first goal of the match.

Villarreal were awarded a corner kick and it was the 25 year old who would score the header and begin the come back for the hosts. They would eventually take a 3-2 lead against Barcelona but the reigning league champions would score two more and get the win.

Nicolás González scored his second header of the season for Fiorentina in their 2-2 draw vs. Lecce.

González made it two goals as Fiorentina were awarded a corner kick and the Argentine would score a header to give them the 1-0 lead. He had previously scored in Fiorentina’s 4-0 win vs. Genoa last week.

Lucas Martínez Quarta and Lucas Beltrán also both started the match for Fiorentina.

Argentina to play first three World Cup qualifiers at the Monumental

The Argentina national team will play their first three World Cup qualifying matches at the Monumental.

Lionel Scaloni’s team will play six World Cup qualifying matches this year, with three of them at home. According to Diario Olé, the first three matches against Ecuador, Paraguay and Uruguay will be played in the same stadium.

Argentina will play against Ecuador in September, Paraguay in October and Uruguay in November.

Thiago Almada scored and had two assists for Atlanta United in their 4-0 win vs. Nashville.

Almada continues to show his great form and why he is being linked with a move to Ajax, this time with a tremendous pass and a chip goal for Atlanta United. With the score at 0-0, the 22 year old played a pin point cross into the penalty area to Xande Silva who would score to give Atlanta the 1-0 lead.

The World Cup winner himself would score his ninth goal of the season. A pass in to Almada who would chip the goalkeeper and with the defender trying to stop the goal, would get a touch on it and score.

With the score at 2-0, Almada would make a run into the penalty area and play a pass in to Saba Lobjanidze and he would back heel the ball for a goal and make it 3-0 for Atlanta United.

Messi did not start the match for Inter Miami but he was brought on as a substitute and made a difference. The Best player in the world played a ridiculous pass in to fellow Argentine Benjamin Cremaschi who returned the pass and Messi would score to give Inter Miami the 2-0 lead.

The Argentine World Cup winner now has 11 goals and three assists in nine matches with Inter Miami.

Facundo Farías and Tomás Avilés also started the match.
