Lionel Messi scored for PSG in their pre-season friendly win vs. Gamba Osaka.

Messi has scored for the second consecutive pre-season match. About to start his second season with PSG, the 35 year old did not have a pre-season last year after joining them from FC Barcelona.

With the team for their pre-season tour of Japan, Messi started for PSG in their 6-2 win vs. the Japanese club. With the score at 3-0, Messi dribbled towards the Gamba Osaka back line, played a pass into Neymar who returned the ball back to Messi as the Argentine scored.

Leandro Paredes could join Juventus as talks are underway

Leandro Paredes could be joining Juventus from PSG as talks are underway.

Paredes could soon be on his way out of PSG. Per a report by Relevo, talks are underway to bring the Argentine over to Italy.

The 28 year old PSG from Zenit Saint Petersburg in 2019 and if PSG were to sell him, Juventus would have to pay their asking price. Per Calciomercato, PSG would agree to a loan with an obligation to buy from Juventus, with the total amount reaching €20 million.

Although it is not official yet, rumors are that Valentín Castellanos will continue his career in Girona FC of Spain. Taty would have played his last game with New York City FC this Saturday, where he received a standing ovation from the fans.

In the 2-0 win vs. Inter Miami, the 23-year-old player was substituted off in the second half, when his teammates and the NYCFC fans applauded him in an emotional farewell. Castellanos was also chosen as the MVP of the match.

The Argentine, ex Vélez Sarsfield player Maxi Móralez scored the first goal of the game. Later on, Héber, who had entered the field in replacement of Castellanos, made it 2-0 and had a tribute to the Argentine in his goal celebration.

Argentinos Juniors have reportedly verbally closed the sale of Fausto Vera to Corinthians. Per Olé, the deal would round the $7.5 million for 70% of the Argentine, with Argentinos Juniors staying with 20%, and the player the remaining 10%. The 22-year-old has also been linked with Celtic and Genk.

The central midfielder has been a key player in Gabriel Milito’s team. At his young age, the Argentine became the captain of “el Bicho”, which is currently leading the Liga Profesional 2022. Now, his transfer to Corinthians is practically closed, a club where some Argentines like Carlos Tévez and Javier Mascherano have gone and then later had the chance to play in Europe.

Nicolás Tagliafico has signed with Olympique Lyonnais.

Tagliafico has joined Olympique Lyonnais, signing a contract with the club until 2025. The 29 year old left back has joined them from Ajax for a fee of €4.2 million.

The Argentine spent four years with Ajax, making over 150 appearances and winning three league titles. With the Argentina national team, he has won the Copa America and the Finalissima.
