Marcos Acuña scored for Sevilla in their 2-0 win vs. Real Betis.

Acuña scored his first goal fo the season for Sevilla with a great strike from the edge of the penalty area. Acuna had a shot that was saved by the goalkeeper minutes before opening the score.

The Argentine received the ball on the edge of the penalty area and a left footed effort gave Sevilla the 1-0 lead.

Real Betis had both Germán Pezzella and Guido Rodriguez starting as Guido was sent off after two yellow cards. For Sevilla, they had Acuña, Gonzalo Montiel, Erik Lamela and Lucas Ocampos all starting.

Giovanni Simeone scored for Verona in their 1-1 draw vs. Napoli.

Simeone continues to score as he now has three goals in his last two matches, nine goals in 10 matches for Verona. He gave Verona the 1-0 lead after a pass into the penalty area found the Argentine and he beat his marker to the ball and scored.

The 26 year old now leads Serie A with nine goals.

Alejandro Papu Gomez has been called up to the Argentina national team.

Papu Gomez was not initially selected for the November World Cup qualifying matches due to injury. Gomez had missed a few matches for Sevilla and Lionel Scaloni did not include him in the team for the matches against Uruguay and Brazil this week.

Paulo Dybala has been named the Player of the Month for Juventus.

Dybala wins the award following a good month of October where he missed the first two matches due to injury. Dybala had one goal and one assist in three league matches.

He has been selected by Argentina national team coach Lionel Scaloni for the November World Cup qualifiers.

Mauricio Pochettino states Leandro Paredes might not travel with Argentina team

Mauricio Pochettino has stated that Leandro Paredes might not travel with the Argentina national team.

Pochettino spoke at a press conference where he stated that Paredes, who is injured and has been called-up to the Argentina national team, might not be joining the group. Here is what he had to say regarding Paredes:

“I don’t think Paredes will be able to travel with the Argentina national team.”
