Luciano VIETTO could be on his way to Sevilla.
Reports in Spain are saying that Luciano VIETTO is close to a move to Sevilla. No word on whether or not it would be a loan deal but that could explain the reasons behind Atletico not allowing him to go to the Olympics.
If Atletico are negotiating with Sevilla, it’s possible that Sevilla would not want him to go to the Olympics. This was the case with Matias KRANEVITTER who also joined Sevilla.
According to a report from Italy (credit to Gianluca Di Marzio), Inter have signed defender Julian ILLANES.
ILLANES will make the switch from Instituto de Cordoba to Inter with the deal reportedly costing Inter in the 1 million euro range. According to the report, ILLANES and his agent are in Milan to wrap up the deal.
Born in 1997, he will join Inter in January.
Atletico Madrid have confirmed that Matias KRANEVITTER has joined Sevilla.
KRANEVITTER will be joining Jorge SAMPAOLI’s team on a season long loan, until June 2017. All that is left to do is the medical test for KRANEVITTER.
Julio OLARTICOECHEA spoke to the media and commented on his new job and his team.
OLARTICOECHEA won’t have much time to work with the Olympic team but did speak about CALLERI and confirmed that Cristian PAVON will be in the team. Here’s what he had to say:
“I called CALLERI and he told me he wasn’t angry but was dying to be in Rio. He’ll replace VIETTO”.
“I’ll have to be on top of it all. I’m not BIELSA nor MOURINHO but come see me work. For me, I like to attack. We don’t have a lot of time to work but I won’t make excuses.”
OLARTICOECHEA also confirmed that Cristian PAVON will be at the Olympics and will join the team on the 27th of July.
Luciano VIETTO will not be going to the Olympics.
Despite making the “unofficial” list of 18 players, Jonathan CALLERI will not be goin to the Olympics with Argentina. Atletico Madrid has not released him to go. However, Jonathan CALLERI of Sao Paulo (previously of Boca Juniors) has been called-up as a replacement.
There are also reports that Victor CUESTA and Lautaro GIANETTI won’t be released.
